Texas Postsecondary Advocates Coalition for Equity
Texas must pick up the PACE for equity in college access, affordability, completion and supports
We envision a postsecondary education system in Texas that:
Guarantees access to every student who wants to attend
Ensures affordability for students without the lasting burden of significant student debt
Creates opportunities for undocumented/DACAmented students
Equitably serves all students, especially students of color, first generation college students and students from historically underrepresented backgrounds
We work to achieve this vision by:
Amplifying student and young-adult voices
Developing solutions with organizations, researchers, policymakers, and education leaders
Identifying and working with power dynamics in higher education to drive systemic change and remove barriers for Texas’ most marginalized students
Creating and sharing qualitative and quantitative research to inform policy decisions
